Spring 2

This half term, our topic is 'Great Britain'. The children will be learning about the United Kingdom in geography lessons. In Science, they will be learning about different animals and our art unit focuses on printing. In PSHE, we will be exploring special people and in RE the children will be exploring the question, 'What does the cross mean to Christians?'.

Our Talk 4 Writing unit this half term is linked to 'The Little Dinosaur'. This is a lost and found story and the children will be focusing on character descriptions.

In maths, the children will be learning about numbers to 50. We will also be covering units of measurements for height, length, mass and volume.

23rd - 27th February 2026

The children have had a brilliant first week back after the half term holiday!

The phonics tuff tray has been popular this week and lots of children read the question sentences and completed these in our outdoor area. In gymnastics, the children practised different balances. In maths, we have been making numbers to 50 using Base 10 and tens and ones discs. In English, we started our new unit and the children discovered dinosaur clues in the school grounds! They also discovered an egg - we are hoping this hatches over the weekend!
