Year 3 Spring 2
Week beginning 16th March 2026
Over the last couple of weeks year 3 have been making papier-mache Greek vases. These will have handles and a base added and then decorated.
Week beginning 9th March 2026
On Friday 13th March, Year 3 enjoyed an Ancient Greek day. They became Athenians, learnet about democracy and developed ancient crafts, such as carving, making clay pots and burning oil lamps. In the afternoon they enjoyed a great feast to celebrate the victory at Marathon. Here they acted out plays, danced, soldiers marched and slaves served the food and drink.
Week beginning 2nd March 2026
On March 5th we all took part in World Book Day. The children dressed up as their favourite character, they created bookmarks and swapped books.
Week beginning 23rd February
This week we began our squash coaching in PE. The children practised their ball control with the rackets. They demonstrated excellent control and concentration!
