This week we have seen another busy week flash by; we can't quite believe that we're already over half way through the term. We were delighted to have Beattie (our Beat the Street mascot) join us for our yoga session, demonstrating excellent focus throughout all the different poses. Beattie really has a flair for the standing tree pose!
As part of World Book Day last week we worked in groups to put together story sacks based on the favourite books of the children in Early Years . On Friday we had a wondeful time performing the stories to all three Reception classes. It was wonderful to have the two ends of the school come together :)

This week in Year 6 it has been packed with lots of learning and progress! In PE, we have continued developing our yoga positions and have been working hard in circuit training to improve our stamina. In English, we have been focusing on using a range of writing tools to strengthen our writing. In Maths, we have been building our understanding of percentages and practising how to apply them in different problems.
The highlight of the week was celebrating World Book Day, where we dressed up as our favourite book characters and enjoyed sharing our love of reading together. Well done, Year 6, for all your effort this week!

We have had a fantastic start to the new term, continuing our topic of Brilliant Brazil. For PE this term we will be taking part in Yoga, learning different poses week by week. The children did really well balancing and taking time to re centre themselves.
The children also had the opportunity to visit Stanway Secondary School to watch their production of Annie. We came back buzzing with lots of ideas of what we would like to perform for our end of year production!
