Welcome back! The sun blessed us in the half term but our first week back has been a mixture of showers, sun and plenty of work too.
The children have hit the ground running and have started their new maths unit on angles and directions. They have learnt about acute, obtuse, right-angles and straight-line angle. They have seen how turns can be described as angles. For example a one quarter turn is the same as a 90-degree turn.
In English, year 4 have started to write their innovation which consists of a space and portal theme.
The children headed outside for PSHE, where they had to find answers to how someone's behaviour could affect someone. In history, they have continued to learn about ancient Egypt, in particular the different gods and goddesses they worshipped. Children were able to do their own research online about their chosen god and present the information along with an image of their god/goddess.
